The most common standard based on which transformers are being developed at ISE, is the EN 61558 (formerly NEN-EN 60742) which is generally valid for all isolating and safety transformers. In certain cases, a transformer has to comply with particular UL/CSA-standards. Depending on the application, ISE can arrange for the product to be tested.
In 1998, ISE was the first European manufacturer to receive the ENEC quality label for a standard series of toroidal transformers from 20 through 300 VA. Along with the national KEMA quality label, this ENEC quality label ensures for the transformers concerned to be recognized throughout Europe without any further local testing.
